Réplique du fusil anglais Brown Bess, qui servit d’arme à feu standard dans les régiments britanniques pendant les guerres napoléoniennes.
Muni d’une baïonnette amovible et d’un mécanisme de tir fonctionnel, vous ne pourrez cependant pas tirer avec des munitions, étant donné que la "lumière" n’est pas percée.
Le "chien" se rétracte et amorce la gâchette. En déclenchant le tir, le chien se remet dans sa position initiale en frappant la languette.
Possibilité d’attacher un silex.
"Brown Bess" est le surnom donné au British Land Pattern Musket. Moins précis que son congénère français (le Charleville 1777), en partie dû au fait d’une absence totale d’un organe de visée, il était cependant connu pour sa plus grande létalité, notamment grâce à un calibre de munition supérieur. Une cadence de tir plus rapide, permettait aux soldats les plus aguerris de tirer jusqu’à 4 coups par minute.
