Created by decree in 1857 on the initiative of Napoleon III, the medal was designed and sculpted by Désiré-Albert Barre.
In order to honor the soldiers who served in the French army between 1792 and 1815 the Commemorative Medal of St. Helena was given to all survivors of the Napoleonic Wars.
Worn normally on the lapel, you can attach it to your keys to always have this symbolic mark of distinction close to you.
