At the end of the eighteenth century, all of Europe's great nations feature hussar regiments, and Russia is no exception. This sword is shaped in a characteristic fashion, portraying those used in the Tsar's regiments, and was still in service at the time of the Napoleonic campaigns. On a side note, this sword can also be suitable for a French rider, who back then did not hesitate to equip themselves with weapons taken from the enemy. Note the similarity of the sabre's curvature with the light cavalry model of the imperial guard. Entirely made out of steel, though brass is used for the guard, wood for the scabbard which is then covered with leather and ornaments made out of brass also. The handle is covered with carefully crafted leather.
